Good Shepherd Lutheran Church

Master Ministry Plan

Good Shepherd has been in the process of developing a major new ministry plan that will establish the general direction that our congregation will move over the next 10 years.

This process began with the (Congregation Mission and Vision Study) (Feb 2002 - May 2003).  In order to build on this Mission and Visioning Process, Good Shepherd hired Kairos and Associates to “take us to the next steps” in determining future ministry, staffing, and facility needs.  We decided on a three phase process.

The Three Phases of the Kairos Consultation Process

PHASE ONE - Develop Master Ministry Plan (Fall 2003) - Decision made to develop ministry plan prior to making decisions about facility needs.  Ministry directs facility decisions.

PHASE TWO - Feasibility Study - This study builds on the work of Phase One and helps assess Congregational “Readiness” for the emerging Master Ministry Plan.  The study was conducted in February, 2004 and its results were presented to the congregation on April 20.  Click here to read the full report.

PHASE THREE - Capital Campaign. - The Capital Campaign is underway as of October 10, 2004.
