Community-Based Shelter - June 5-11, 2005

Good Shepherd has agreed to provide all three meals for the Homeless Shelter in Rockville beginning with dinner on Sunday June 5th and ending with lunch on Sunday June 11th. We will need "groups" to cook, deliver and serve each dinner meal as well as pack lunches for the residents. In addition, breakfast & lunch foods will be donated.
Look for the sign up sheet in the Lobby and bring the donations to the church on Sunday June 5th. Please mark them "homeless shelter" and leave in kitchen and /or refrigerator.
Last year was a rousing success with many "servants" pitching in and making it not only a "fun" week but enriching one as well. Let's hope this year will be even better.
