In the wake of the hurricanes of 2005, your financial response is enabling Lutheran Disaster Response (LDR) to provide the emergency and sustained follow-up actions most appropriate in the years ahead. Many victims are STILL in FEMA trailers or living in condemned buildings. You may give by credit card at 1-800-638-3522 or at www.elca.org/disaster/, or by check to GSLC (memo line: ELCA Domestic Disaster Response). Hurricane Relief - Churches across the nation are challenged to raise $2 million, to which Thrivent Financial will add $1 million for Hurricane Relief in Florida. We are starting a drive today (September 26, 2004) to participate in this challenge. If you desire to contribute, please make checks payable to “Thrivent MoCo Chpt” or just plain “Thrivent” and mark the memo “Hurricane Relief”. Place in the offering plate or turn in to the office. Questions? Call Anne May at 301-869-0139 or Dennis Luther at 301-948-1279.
