Gifts of Hope

Attention Christmas Shoppers!

Do you feel exhausted just thinking to find yet another gift for a friend or family member who seems to have everything?  Gifts of Hope is your opportunity to purchase unique gifts in their honor and benefit our Synod's social ministry organizations and foreign companion synods.  For each gift you purchase, you receive three items - a gift card, and envelope, and an insert describing your chosen gift -- which your give to your friend or family member.  The actual gift will be delivered by the designated ministry or organization to the beneficiary (for example, a toy to a homeless child, an ostrich to a family in Namibia, or a month of bread and milk for a child in El Salvador).

Pick up your catalog (or better yet - click here for an online PDF version) today so you can share it with your family and consider the possibilities for honoring each other and our God with this alternative to commercial gifts. There are gifts for every pocketbook at prices from $2 to $200.

Gifts of Hope is now starting its fourteenth year, with total gift purchases since 1992 reaching nearly $1,600,000! Every penny has been distributed to support special needs and activities identified by the nine local social ministry organizations and the Synod's three companion Lutheran churches abroad. Please support Gifts of Hope at the Lobby table starting Sunday, November 28, 2004 and continuing through Sunday, December 19. Together we spread the joy of God's grace here and throughout the world.
