I used to think sermons were about telling people about God.
I used to think sermons were delivered by people who knew a lot about God.
I used to think sermons were delivered by people a little closer to heaven than me.
Well, times have changed. I am beginning to realize that people don’t want to know “about God.” They want to “know God”. They want to experience God in their daily lives. They want to be guided by God.
I have learned that faith requires a lot of work. It requires a lot of learning. What we offer here are humble attempts to share our faith with a community of people we love being with, the people of Good Shepherd Lutheran, Gaithersburg and our countless visitors.
We offer them to you, the wider world, in hopes that they will be a source of strength, encouragement, and a challenge to take your faith seriously.
Together, we are the people of God, called to share “the light of Christ” with a world that needs spiritual sparks. God’s blessings to you.
