Frontline Devotion for Friday, March 30, 2007 by Mike Martine
First things first. NO ONE KNOWS.
Next time someone tells you that the “end is near,” sigh and then direct them to this passage.
Second things second: IT SHOULDN’T MATTER.
What does that mean? Simply this. We should live, spiritually, like the end might come tomorrow. Like the next time I see you might be the last time I see you. Like the next person I talk to might be the last person I talk to. Like the next person I meet might be the last person I can show the love of God to.
In other words, we should be ready.
Because even if the kingdom doesn’t come tomorrow, it is already here. In fact, we bring it to this life every time we act for Christ.
“No one knows.”
“It shouldn’t matter.”
Remember it. Live it. Amen.
