Bible text:  Acts 3: 1-26

Did I point to you enough to make a mark on things?  That is the lyric in one of my favorite contemporary Christian songs by Nicole Nordeman.  Quite simply, as you read the text today, what you will find is that Peter helps to heal a man.  It is an act of great power that helps to change the man.   But the reality is that it is the power of God at work.  Peter understands that he is merely an instrument.

As we go about our daily lives, do we think of ourselves in those terms - an instrument called to point others to Jesus?  One who sees themselves as an instrument recognizes that it’s not about them.  It is about the one who touches the instrument and uses it for uplifting purpose.  May your life be touched by the Spirit of God, so that God uses you to bless others as Peter did some 2000 years ago.
