A Web Tour of our Stained Glass Windows

The Stewardship Window

The seventh window in the sequence, closest to the rear of the church, portrays the work of God’s people and the use of his gifts through service. A test-tube and chemical retort represent science and industry. The caduceus is a symbol of the healing professions. A carpenter’s square represents building and construction. Teaching and learning are depicted by a pen, inkwell, and book; farming of the land by a plow. The open, outstretched hands represent “stewardship,” the mindful, intentional use of God’s gifts.
