Good Shepherd Lutheran Church
A Web Tour of our Stained Glass Windows
|
The Stewardship Window The seventh window in the sequence, closest to the rear of the church, portrays the work of God’s people and the use of his gifts through service. A test-tube and chemical retort represent science and industry. The caduceus is a symbol of the healing professions. A carpenter’s square represents building and construction. Teaching and learning are depicted by a pen, inkwell, and book; farming of the land by a plow. The open, outstretched hands represent “stewardship,” the mindful, intentional use of God’s gifts. |
